40 faculty and students from the Texas A&M University–Commerce College of Business have been inducted as lifetime members into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Only the best business students in the world, and the professionals who earned the distinction of “the Best in Business” during their academic careers, can claim such membership.
This year’s inductees join an expanding worldwide network of more than 820,000 outstanding business professionals who have become eligible by ranking in the top 10 percent of baccalaureate and the top 20 percent of graduate programs at schools accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
As students of an accredited AACSB International school, Texas A&M University-Commerce College of Business students are eligible for the highest recognition in the world a student can receive in an undergraduate or master’s business program. With the expansion of accreditation by AACSB International beyond the United States and Canada lifetime membership is truly an international honor.
“The students inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma truly represent the best business students in the world,” said Dr. Shanan G. Gibson, Dean of the College of Business. “They are at the top of their classes academically and are a joy to teach and interact with. I have no doubt these students will be the business leaders of the future.”
