Secrets to Successful Relationships Revealed at A&M-Commerce

The A&M-Commerce Counseling Center's Relationship Roadmap events will begin Feb. 6, concluding with an interactive game show in the style of “The Newlywed Game” on Feb. 12 at 4 p.m. in The Club of the Rayburn Student Center (RSC). Hosted by Greg Shirley, associate director for career development, the show will feature President Dan R. Jones, Athletic Director Ryan Ivey, their spouses and two student couples.

The Spirit Approved game show event will include a question and answer period during which students will have the opportunity to pose relationship-related questions to a panel. Students may also enter drawings for prizes.

Beginning Thursday, the Counseling Center will host an information table in the RSC daily through Feb. 12 to provide answers for relationship questions.

“Our relationships are such a big part of who we are and what we care about,” said Agnes Gonzalez, staff counselor. “It's worth taking a closer look to see what is needed to keep your relationship healthy and successful or to be ready and prepared for a rewarding relationship to develop in your life. Come to our event, share your thoughts and questions with us and see what you may learn from others.”
