QEP Team Members Win Awards at 12th Annual Pathways Research Symposium

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) team showcased their work at A&M-Corpus Christi during the 12^th Annual Pathways Research Symposium held October 22-23. Our students proudly represented Texas A&M University-Commerce with a range of global research topics. We are honored that two members of the QEP team earned top awards in their respective divisions.

Christopher Woodard, graduate student in the Department of Marketing and Business Analytics and QEP graduate research assistant, earned the first place award in the business and computer information masters division. He presented research on the “Growing Importance of Using an ePortfolio for Personal and Professional Development.” This project was completed under advisement of Dr. Shonda Gibson and co-written by Dr. Tabetha Adkins.

Sam Ijeh, graduate student in the Department of Psychology, Counseling and Special Education and QEP intern, earned the second place award in social sciences/humanities masters division. He presented research related to the “Impacts of Study Abroad Experiences on Students' Levels of Global Competence.” This project was completed under advisement of Dr. Shonda Gibson.

The QEP team was honored to be chosen to showcase their research endeavors at the Pathways Student Research Symposium. The symposium is open to all system students and seeks to provide participants with a broader exposure to The Texas A&M University System. Participants will present a variety of research studies, while discussing their topics with peers, faculty and judges.
