A Conversation with Dr. Yang

What is your approach to therapy?

I believe that each person is unique and special, and that change is possible. My approach to counseling is to meet the client where they are at, and collaboratively, we explore and understand the strengths and challenges that are present in their life. By incorporating person-centered, interpersonal and body-oriented approaches, I hope to bring clients a deeper understanding of their current situations and provide tools they can use as they continue this healing journey.

What do you love most about A&M-Commerce?

People. The inviting and welcoming nature of people at A&M-Commerce has been what I look forward to going to work in the morning. Students are eager to learn, and faculty and staff are willing to help. Everyone here works toward a common goal, which is to help students thrive and be successful. I am grateful to be a part of the A&M-Commerce family. Go Lions!
