A Conversation with Taylor Phelps
What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?
“We are a family. You will always have a home on our campus, and our alumni truly want to see you succeed. They will assist you any way they can in the future.”
How has your role changed since you began working at A&M-Commerce?
“My time as a Lion began during my undergraduate education in the Honors College and on the men’s basketball team, playing for Sam Walker. I began my professional time at A&M Commerce in 2017 in Revenue Generation for the Lion Athletics department. Over time, I’ve become increasingly passionate about assisting donors in making an impact on our campus at-large. In December 2020, I transitioned into the Division of Philanthropy and Engagement as the senior director of Principal Giving.”
What do you like most about your career?
“It’s an honor and privilege to connect the Lion family with our current students. Serving as a steward to align donor’s passions with life-changing opportunities for our students is an honor!”
