When she’s not working at A&M-Commerce, you can find Fisk working side-by-side with her husband and children on their farm. She loves feeding the animals and seeing their excitement as they come running to greet her when she goes out to their pens.

A Conversation with Marlena Fisk

What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?

“A&M-Commerce is a great choice for a university because we have so many academic program choices. The sky’s the limit, and their college years could be their best yet to come.”

How do you help students at A&M-Commerce?

“I am the middleman in the process of course registration when there is a problem. Students who are having trouble enrolling in a course, they come to me. Then, I contact the program coordinator who grants them permission for the classes they need to be enrolled in for that semester. After this meeting, the program coordinator gives me the green light to enroll the students in those classes.”

What do you like most about your career?

“Helping people. It brings me great joy to bring a smile to someone who is having a hard day.”
