Lindsay Svane is a New Orleans native who considers herself a naturalized Texan. As an undergraduate, she changed her major several times while exploring her many interests. She loves learning and connecting with others. Her career in higher education is inspired by her desire to positively impact students' lives during their journey through college. She strives for continual growth with the goal to become a better version of herself each day.

What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?

A&M-Commerce provides great opportunities to meet a diverse group of people, expand your knowledge, and grow as an individual. Departments across the campus provide incredible resources, activities and support for students from the beginning as freshmen to alumni. You can come here knowing you won't get lost in a giant crowd as part of the Lion family.

What do you like most about your career?

I love the community and relationships created during my time at A&M-Commerce. Everyone comes together to support each other and provide guidance. I also enjoy getting to know students and helping them navigate their college careers. Being able to see them through from start to finish is greatly rewarding.

How do you help students at A&M-Commerce?

I help students by providing support during their time at A&M-Commerce. I make sure they meet the requirements for the Honors College. I provide a safe space for students to reach out if they need assistance or just an ear to listen. In addition, I assist with recruiting students to the Honors College and provide guidance as they adjust to their first year on campus. I also teach classes for the internship track in the Honors program.
