TAMUC Stock Horse Team Shines in First Competition of 2021

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Stock Horse Team was firing on all cylinders at the Stock Horse of Texas competition in Bryan, Texas, earlier this month, taking home the Division 2 Championship and a slew of personal honors for students. Head Coach Nathan Wells stated, “I am so very proud of our team and look forward to the collegiate finals in Lubbock at the end of April.” The team's individual results are as follows:

  • Chance Clipper won the collegiate LTD non-pro pleasure with a 76, was second in cow work with a 75 and second in trail with a 77. He was also second in the collegiate LTD non-pro all around.
  • Kelsey Jordan was second in collegiate LTD non-pro pleasure with a 74.5, second in reining with a 73 and fifth in collegiate LTD non-pro all around.
  • Mya Rooke tied for first in the collegiate novice pleasure with a 73.5.
  • Chrissy Bodman tied for third in the collegiate novice trail with a 71.5.
