Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn Speak to University Students

Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn are Pulitzer Prize-winning authors, New York Times best-sellers and activists. They are participating in a broadcast event sponsored by the A&M-Commerce chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success.  The event, entitled A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity, will take place on Tuesday, November 4at 5:30 p.m. in Ferguson Auditorium and is free to all students, staff and faculty.

Kristof and WuDunn's previous book, Half the Sky, inspired a worldwide movement and a PBS special. Their upcoming book, A Path Appears, focuses on people who are making the world a better place and is the basis of a PBS series airing January 2015. Kristof was also the subject of the documentary, Reporter, produced by Ben Affleck.

In their presentation, Kristof and WuDunn will explore taking action and following the lead of and supporting those who are making a difference in unexpected ways and places. The event will be streamed live and hosted by New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ. All viewers are invited to submit questions via Twitter and Facebook, which will be answered, during the broadcast.

This is the third installment of the 2014-2015 multi-speaker broadcast series sponsored by the Society. The Society's Speaker Broadcast series, which reaches more than 520 college campuses and 130,000 students each month during the academic year, is designed to support The National Society of Leadership and Success's overall mission of Building Leaders Who Make a Better World.
