Dynamic speaker Ernesto Mejia to kick off Office of Hispanic Outreach and Retention Anniversary

To begin its 10th anniversary celebration, the Office of Hispanic Outreach and Retention (OHOR) has collaborated with the Latino American Mentorship Program (LAMP) to present the dynamic motivational speaker Ernesto Mejia. Mejia, the son of Mexican immigrants, talks about overcoming hardships to achieve the American dream. This inspiring event will be held in the Traditions Room at the Rayburn Student Center on Wednesday, September 5th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

OHOR empowers students by providing resources such as LAMP and the OHOR Scholars Program.  This year, LAMP was nominated for the prestigious Excelencia in Education Award. OHOR also provided $140,000 to 70 scholars in 2018. There are many wonderful things happening in and around OHOR. Please help them celebrate 10 years of service to A&M-Commerce!
