Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization Attends the Tech Titan Hiring Expo

The Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization recently attended the Tech Titan Hiring Expo in Richardson, Texas.

Students were able to network with potential employers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Recruiters from Argo, Bank of America, P3 Consulting and other companies connected with students.

“I had a personal experience with the managing director of Coalfire. As soon as I extended my hand to greet him, he realized that I was a student attending Texas A&M University-Commerce. He said that he was very impressed by the standards that we carry and the way we approach others,” said Dolly Yadav, first year student in the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program. “I am very thankful to Ms. Lacey Henderson for preparing us well in advance and Dr. Chris Myers and Dr. Bo Han for motivating us and their positive approach.”

The event allowed students to learn what employers look for prior to entering the job market.

“It was a great experience talking to many of the exhibitors. It gave me an idea of what skills I need to start learning before I graduate. Our presence as students also showed that we are trying to plan ahead and stay up to date on what is needed in the industry,” said Jose Ballesteros, first year Master of Science in Business Analytics student. “I applaud everyone involved in organizing and promoting this event.”

Students may join the Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization by signing up through ManeSync and visiting the Administrative Secretary of Marketing and Business Analytics Department Lola Kanaman in room 315 of the McDowell Business Administration Building.
