LeWanna Hobbs Named the New Director of Direct Student Access

Texas A&M University-Commerce has recently named alumna LeWanna Hobbs the director of Direct Student Access.

Hobbs began her journey at A&M-Commerce as a student in the Honors College. After she graduated, she continued with her master's degree in 2011. Her experience includes working with the Financial Aid and Scholarship office, University Registrar and with the university's switch board.

“LeWanna Hobbs is a stellar employee, who works tirelessly to ensure that all students are serviced with a smile and receive accurate, timely information,” said Dean of Enrollment Management and Retention Dina Sosa. “When asked why she enjoys her position in leadership, she also states that she is driven to serve. She wants each student to feel special in their accomplishments, and daily, she models excellence in customer service.”

Along with her professional experience, Hobbs serves as the co-adviser to the college NAACP chapter and the adviser of the Mu Zeta chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
