History Professor Takes on SCSS Presidency

In April 2017, Dr. Sharon A. Kowalsky, Associate Professor of History at Texas A&M University-Commerce, began a two-year term as President of the Southern Conference on Slavic Studies (SCSS).

SCSS is a regional affiliate of the Association of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies that meets annually in various cities throughout the South.

Dr. Kowalsky will preside over the next meeting of the SCSS, to be held in March 2018 in Charlotte, NC. She's been involved with the SCSS since attending graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
