A&M-Commerce Among Affordable Universities with Highest-Paid Grads

A&M-Commerce was recently ranked #45 on a list of low-cost colleges and universities with high starting salaries for graduates compiled by AffordableCollegesOnline.org. Over 4,000 colleges and universities were surveyed.

“The fact that Texas A&M University-Commerce was the only university located in Dallas and in the Northeast Texas region of the state that received recognition in this ranking is another indicator that our university's focus on student access and success is making a difference in the lives of our students and our graduates,” said Dr. Mary Hendrix, Vice President of Student Access and Success.

To compile the list, ACO reviewed four-year, fully accredited public institutions with in-state tuition of less than $5,000 per year, and with average starting salaries for graduates of more than $40,000 per year. The website also looked at mid-career salary averages as well as the overall return on investment for the degree obtained. ACO also used highly respected data sets to compile the list including NCES, the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education, among others.

“A&M-Commerce is all about providing our students maximum opportunity for minimum cost.  With so many universities in our region to choose from, students can come to A&M-Commerce knowing that they have made a wise investment in their future,” said President Dan R. Jones.
