Finals Are Coming – It Is Time to De-stress At A&M-Commerce

Students needing to relieve some of the stress from finals will get the chance at the Counseling Center's DeStress Fest taking place on May 6. The event will give students the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt, win prizes, relax with miniature horses, enjoy free snacks and learn about mental and emotional health. The program will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Campus Crossroads and the other locations of the scavenger hunt revealed by the clues.

“The main goal of the event is twofold, “said Agnes Gonzalez, outreach coordinator. “We would like to provide a stress relieving experience for students as they are preparing for finals and we also would like to share self-care tips that they can implement long term.”

Students participating in the scavenger hunt will have the chance to win prizes after following the clues and collecting the proofs. Besides the giveaways, the various stations will feature fun and relaxing activities that students can take part in.
