What are check-in sessions and orientation programs? Am I expected to attend these as a new TAMUC international student?

New international students are required to attend one check-in session and orientation program. These programs will provide information about immigration regulations and your responsibilities as an international student in the F-1 status. We’ll introduce you to new and returning international students, student organizations, and on-campus services that will enhance your integration experience and academic success.

Information on check-in sessions and orientation program will be provided by the Office of International Program (OIP) once we send your Form I-20. Be on the look out for OIP emails and instructions.
