Faculty Trombonist To Perform Oct. 6

COMMERCE, Texas – Jimmy Clark, a world class professional trombonist and professor at Texas A&M University-Commerce, will present a recital on the Commerce campus on Monday, Oct. 6.

Clark has performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Wind Symphony, as well as other venues throughout the country and internationally.

His talents as a performer are matched by his teaching abilities as his students from A&M-Commerce have been accepted to the nation’s most prestigious institutes, including the Cleveland Institute and the Juilliard School of Music.

Clark’s recital will include music from several composers, including Haendel, Ewazen, Grandados, and Rubenstein.

Highlighting the evening will be the premier presentation of “Declamation for Trombone and Piano,” by Ted Hansen, an award-winning composer and A&M-Commerce music faculty member.

The combining talents of Hansen and Clark will provide the audience with an evening of music performed by world class musicians.

The recital will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Building.
