Professor Joshua Ege from the A&M-Commerce Department of Art was recently featured on the National Novel Writing Month website. For the past three years, Ege has volunteered his time and work to National Novel Writing Month. Each November, thirty professional designers volunteer to create book cover art for novels being written by aspiring authors from around the globe. The project’s purpose is to encourage new, diverse voices and help build a more creative world. Ege designed a cover for the book “Proton” by Martha Warren.
In November, Ege also visited more than 100 students at Clark High School in Plano to talk about careers in art. The sessions covered art-related careers, pathways to continue art education and earning a living through art.
