Art Class Creates Specialized Canine Wheelchair

Dr. Josephine Durkin and her Empathy Art Science and Technology (EAST) class at A&M-Commerce were featured in the Athens Daily Review for creating a specialized wheelchair for Jamba, a canine amputee who lost her back legs in an accident. Durkins' EAST class explores how art, science and technology can work together to solve real-world problems. The class spent a semester on the wheelchair project. Read the Athens Review article.
