A&M-Commerce to Offer BSBA Degree At PJC

COMMERCE, Texas – Starting this fall, Texas A&M University-Commerce will offer the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Program at Paris Junior College.

With the agreement signed this month between A&M-Commerce and PJC, Paris area students will be able to complete a bachelor’s degree at the Lamar County community college.

“We are so pleased to be able to give local residents the opportunity to work towards the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Texas A&M University-Commerce,” said PJC President Pamela Anglin. “Hopefully, more and more individuals completing an associate degree at PJC will take advantage of this opportunity.”

Dr. Hal Langford, dean of the College of Business and Technology at A&M-Commerce, said that the university is pleased to offer this program in Paris. “I am excited about it,” Langford said.

A&M-Commerce is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, one of the most prestigious accrediting agencies in world and only 400 colleges with this accreditation in the United States, he said.

With the high cost of gasoline, PJC students will save money on commuting to Commerce, Langford said.

For the B.S.B.A. degree, courses on the Paris campus will be offered by PJC faculty teaching as A&M-Commerce adjuncts and university faculty teaching online.

Two courses will be offered in the fall and spring semesters and one each summer term. These business courses can lead to a career in general business, management information systems, or business administration with a minor field of the student’s choice.

A&M-Commerce also offers a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sciences at PJC.
