A&M-Commerce Professor Visits D.C. to Advocate for Science Community

Dr. Carlos Bertulani, professor of physics & astronomy, attended the 2019 Congressional Visits Day (CVD) in Washington, D.C., to represent the American Physical Society (APS) as a unit leader for Texas. During the visits, APS unit leaders and volunteers advocated for issues affecting the scientific community. Since CVD, five congressional members have signed on as co-sponsors of the Combating Sexual Harassment in Science Act of 2019.
