A&M-Commerce Partners with Tyler Junior College

Texas A&M University-Commerce will begin a three-year partnership with Tyler Junior College on Dec. 20, 2013. The partnership will help students complete their degrees at A&M-Commerce after they receive a foundation at Tyler Junior College.

“The best way for colleges and universities to deliver on the promise of educational opportunity is through partnership,” said A&M-Commerce President Dan R. Jones. “We are extraordinarily pleased that through the partnership that A&M-Commerce and Tyler Junior College has developed, more students than ever before will be able to secure their future by earning a baccalaureate degree.”

The partnership will have positive implications for students holding associate degrees from Tyler Junior College as well as students with plans to transfer before completing the coursework for their two-year degrees.

“We are honored to partner with Texas A&M University-Commerce to provide expanded educational opportunities for students in East Texas,” said Tyler Junior College President Mike Metke.

An official announcement will take place Thursday, Dec. 19 at Tyler Junior College.
