A&M-Commerce Hires New Coordinator of New Student Orientation and Prospective Student Experience

Texas A&M University-Commerce has hired Christopher Hensley as the new coordinator of new student orientation and prospective student experience.

“I am very proud of Christopher as he serves daily with the character of a servant leader, who exemplifies best for our students that anyone can be recognized for success in whatever they seek to accomplish,” said Dean of Enrollment Management and Retention, Dina Sosa.

Hensley served as the National Orientation Director's Association (NODA) intern for the A&M-Commerce Orientation Team during the summer of 2014 where he earned the title Outstanding NODA Intern. In October 2014, he began working as a success coach with University College while finishing his master's degree in higher education at the University of North Texas.

“My passion in higher education started with first year students, so I am excited about the opportunity to work in an office that serves as one of the first faces new students see when they come to campus,” said Hensley. “I love being able to help these students start their journey of success!”
