A&M-Commerce Career Closet

Texas A&M University-Commerce's Office of Career Development is now accepting donations for the Career Closet.

The Career Development Office would like to use the Career Closet to aid currently enrolled students or alumni with any professional dress needs. Whether it is for an interview, internship, career fair or first day on the job, the clothing will be available, free of charge and theirs to keep. Current students in need of business professional attire should contact Career Development to schedule a fitting time, and each student may choose one free outfit. They have received many gently worn donations for both men and women of all sizes.

“We are so excited to be able to offer this service to our students,” said Tina Boitnott, Director of Career Development. “First impressions are lasting impressions, and appropriate attire represents a professional image.”

The Career Closet is currently accepting upscale, gently used business professional and business casual attire (current or within the last 5 years style) for men and women. They ask that all items to be donated are washed or dry cleaned, ready to wear. Examples include: Men- slacks, dress pants, khakis, suits, button down or collared shirts, blazers, sweaters, ties, dress shoes, and belts. Women- slacks, dress pants, pant and skirt suits, button down or collared shirts, blazers, sweaters, cardigans, dresses, pumps (2 inch heel), belts, scarves and jewelry.

Donations may be brought to the Career Development Office in Room 181 of the Student Access and Success Center Wednesday-Friday from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm. All donations are tax deductible.
