A&M-Commerce alums named campus teachers of the year in Mesquite ISD

Several Texas A&M University-Commerce alumni have been named Teachers of the Year at multiple Mesquite ISD campuses. Anita Kay Young from Mesquite Academy earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1984 her and Master of Education in Educational Administration in 1994 at East Texas State University, now A&M-Commerce. Misty Hurse Airborne, Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2019 and Master of Education in Educational Administration in 2017, was named Teacher of the Year at Mary L. Moss elementary School. Courtnay Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2017 and was named the Smith Elementary Teacher of the Year. McKenzie Elementary named Jackie Gutierrez Martinez, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010, as Teacher of the Year.
