A&M-Commerce Alumna Accepts Newly-Created Position at Cedar Hill ISD

Dr. Kisha McDonald, a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce, took over a newly-created role with Cedar Hill Independent School District in June. As executive director of school leadership for grades six through twelve, McDonald oversees secondary education at five schools in the Cedar Hill district.

McDonald earned her doctorate in supervision, curriculum and instruction from A&M-Commerce. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, a master's degree from Prairie View A&M University and a master's degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. McDonald has 21 years' experience in the Texas education system as a teacher at four different school districts, an assistant principal and principal. She most recently served as director of social-emotional learning at Mansfield ISD.
