A&M-Commerce Alum Named 2018 Texas Observer Short Story Contest Winner

A&M-Commerce alum Heath Dollar was named a 2018 short story contest winner by Texas Observer magazine. According to the Texas Observer, Dollar’s story, “Ink Upon the Furrows,” is about “…the death of a newspaper, a language and an entire culture smack dab in the middle of the Lone Star State.” Dollar is an ESL/Bilingual coordinator for Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. He graduated from A&M-Commerce in 2010 with a Master of Education degree.
