Alumnus Mike Moses Recognized at Gala

  Distinguished alumnus, Mike Moses, will be honored at the 11th Annual Friend of the Year Gala at McLane Stadium in Waco on Dec. 2, 2015, hosted by Friends of Texas Public Schools. The Friend of the Year Award is given to recognize those who have had much success in working and leading the way for Texas public schools.

Moses graduated from East Texas State University with his Doctor of Education degree and currently serves as the senior educational advisor for Raise Your Hand Texas and the Center for Reform of School Systems. He will be honored for the work he has done for more than 30 years as a Texas educator and leader.

Just to name a few of his many accomplishments, Moses has served as the Endowed Chair of Educational Leadership at the University of North Texas in Denton; he was Commissioner of Education for Texas, and he also served as superintendent of Dallas ISD for three years.
